Temescal Valley, California
An off-duty EMT was killed in a single car crash when she veered into the median and plunged down an embankment on April 1 around 2:53 a.m.
Sonmadeep Gadria, 24, was an EMT for American Medical Response. Colleagues remembered her as a dedicated provider who enjoyed helping people.
“Biggest thing about her was she loved her job, loved running 911 calls and serving the public," AMR paramedic Dustin Eshelman told The Press Enterprise.
Gadria was driving an Infinity G-37 south at a high rate of speed on Interstate 15 when she veered into the median and lost control of the vehicle. The car crossed the northbound lands, went over the shoulder, and fell several hundred feet down an embankment. She was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, police said.
Gadria was pronounced dead at 8:17 a.m. at Inland Valley Medical Center.
