CROSS, SC : Coroner identifies victim of multiple-vehicle crash in Berkeley County on Wednesday, 5th June 2024

The Berkeley County Coroner has identified the Cross man who died Wednesday afternoon in a crash involving a dump truck and an SUV.

Baron Bryant, 33, died in the crash on Ranger Road at approximately 4:35 p.m., Coroner Darnell Hartwell said.

South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Nick Pye said a 2020 Mack dump truck traveling east on Ranger Road collided with a 2013 Honda SUV traveling west.

The driver of the SUV, identified as Bryant, died in the crash, troopers said. EMS took the driver of the dump truck to an area hospital.
