Reno, NV : Vehicle crashes into Red Robin restaurant in south Reno on Wednesday, January 6, 2016

The Reno Fire Department is at the scene of the Red Robin restaurant in south Reno, where a vehicle collided with the building.

The crash was reported about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at 4999 Kietzke Lane.

According to police, a woman driving a red Jeep Cherokee was pulling into a parking spot and thought she was hitting the brake.

One person sitting in booth in restaurant was being checked out by REMSA.

Two people in the SUV were uninjured.

Extensive damage is reported to that portion of the building struck by the SUV.

The section of restaurant damaged in the crash is in now closed off.

The investigation continues by Reno police into exact cause of crash.
