PHILADELPHIA, MO : A head-on collision between two vehicles on Monday, July 3, 2017
A cloud of dust on a rural Marion County road Monday led to a head-on collision between two vehicles.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Randy Crabill, 55, of Philadelphia, suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., by Air Evac helicopter.
An investigating officer said Crabill was driving west on County Road 110 East about 3:05 p.m. He was in a 2003 Ford F-250 truck that collided with an eastbound 1998 Freightliner driven by Kevin L. Bock, 41, of Palmyra. The drivers said they could not see each other because of dust thrown into the air by another vehicle.
Bock was wearing a seat belt and reported no injuries. Crabill was not wearing a seat belt, the crash investigator said.
