PADUCAH, KY : All lanes of Purchase Parkway in Graves County blocked due to crash on Friday, 29th September 2023

The Purchase Parkway has been completely blocked at Mile Marker 16.5 in Graves County because of two traffic accidents involving SEMI trucks.

The road is not expected to reopen until 12:30 this afternoon.

Northbound drivers should take the Fulton Exit 7 to KY 307 South to U.S. 45 North to KY 80 in order to get to I 69 via Mayfield Exit 21. Southbound drivers should utilize the I-69/KY 80 Exit 21 Interchange to drive U.S. 45 South to get back on the Parkway at Fulton.

Officials say the first accident happened when a SEMI carrying processed chicken crashed, blocking all Southbound lanes of the Parkway. The second occurred as responders were trying to clean up the first, when a Northbound SEMI crashed and blocked lanes on the other side.
