CREVE COEUR, MO : Man killed in crash involving MoDOT truck on I-270 in St. Louis County on Thursday, 21st January 2021

A 23-year-old Lincoln County man died in a crash involving a MoDOT truck on Interstate 270 in west St. Louis County Thursday afternoon.

The crash was reported at about 1:52 p.m. in the southbound lanes near the Ladue Road exit.

A transportation department spokesperson confirmed the MoDOT truck was sweeping the interstate when it was hit from behind by a commercial work truck that was hauling bricks.

The driver of the commercial truck died at the scene, the Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed. He was later identified as Joseph Yeager of Moscow Mills. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP traffic report.
