BIG POOL, MD : Driver taken to Meritus after crash on I-70 on Saturday, 24th August 2019

The driver of a vehicle that flipped on Interstate 70 on Saturday night was taken to Meritus Medical Center, Maryland State Police said.

The driver, Dustin Herrod, 35, did not have life-threatening injuries, Sgt. Shaffer said Sunday.

Meritus Medical Center did not have a patient by that name as of midafternoon Sunday, a hospital spokeswoman wrote in an email.

The crash past Big Pool on eastbound I-70 was reported around 8:45 p.m. Saturday, Shaffer said.
