AIKEN COUNTY, SC : One person is dead after a crash in Aiken on Tuesday, August 22, 2017

The Aiken County Coroner has confirmed that one person is dead after a crash in Aiken. He's been identified as as 58-year-old Tony C. Goodwin.

It happened on West Five Notch Rd.at about 8:45 p.m. near Gregory Lake Rd. The driver was in a 2007 Hyundai. Officials say that driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The deceased ran off the road, went down an embankment, and then hit a tree.

Toxicology and autopsy findings are pending.
