Garden City, KS : Woman injured in a one-vehicle accident on eastbound K-156 about seventeen miles east of Garden City in Finney County on Friday afternoon, September 26, 2014

A Topeka woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident near Garden City. Diane K. Rose, 62, of Garden City and Betty Jane Thomas, 82, of Topeka were eastbound on K-156 in a 2008 Chevrolet passenger car pulling a trailer. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, the trailer started swerving, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest in the ditch on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Rose was driving the vehicle. The accident occurred around 12:20 p.m. Thomas was injured and taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City and treated for injuries.
