A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Tonopah Drive Sunday afternoon, according to Las Vegas Metro Police.
Police are now searching for the driver of a black GMC single cab pickup truck with Nevada license plate 958-Y18.
The call came in around 3:40 p.m. Police said a car was driving eastbound on Lake Mead at a high speed and drove through a red light at Tonopah, hitting the pedestrian crossing in the crosswalk.
Police said the driver did not stop. The pedestrian, a 34-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All lanes of Lake Mead Blvd were closed in both directions between Comstock and Tonopah Dr for several hours Sunday as police investigated the crash.
