Columbus brothers killed in Phenix City crash

Authorities in Russell County, Ala. say two brothers from Columbus, Ga. have been killed in a car crash.County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. says 25-year-old Ronnie Short Jr. and 37-year-old Derrick Short were killed Saturday after the driver of the 1998 Mustang they were riding in lost control of the car. Authorities say the car veered into a ravine and crashed into bushes.Sumbry says both men were ejected from the vehicle and it's unclear if they were wearing seatbelts.A third man was taken to the Midtown Medical Center and information on their injuries was not immediately available.The cause of the crash is under investigation.
