Hopkinsville, KY : Local woman killed in accident on Monday, 14th May 2018

A Monday morning accident resulted in the death of two motorists, including a Webster County woman.

According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, Aaron Utterback, 27, of Madisonville, was operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed southbound on Nebo Road/US41A, when his vehicle exited the southbound shoulder of the roadway for an unknown reason and entered a grassy area.

His vehicle then re-entered the roadway, crossing the southbound lane and entering the northbound lane of travel, where it struck a vehicle being operated by Mary Turner, 70, of Dixon.

Utterback and Turner were both pronounced dead on scene by Hopkins County Coroner Dennis Mayfield.

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Madisonville Police Department, Madisonville Fire Department and Manitou Fire Department.
