BATON ROUGE, LA : 2 pedestrians killed, another hurt in separate crashes on Monday, 24th July 2023

Louisiana State Police are investigating after two pedestrians were killed in separate crashes on Monday, July 24.

Troopers were first called to a crash near Roddy Road around 1 a.m. in Gonzales. A 2015 Dodge Dart was headed east on LA 935 State police said Sarah Berteau, 41, was walking east and wearing dark clothing when she was hit from behind by the Dodge.

Berteau died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Dodge had minor injuries in the crash.
