HARPER COUNTY, KS: 81-year-old man dies in Harper County accident on Saturday, 5th August 2023

An 81-year-old Danville man has died following an accident in Harper County.

The accident happened just after 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning. James N. Robb was driving southbound on NE 80th Ave. just north of Danville, Kansas in Harper County. A train was traveling eastbound along the railroad tracks.

The crossing arm was down, but the Ford F-150 drove drove through the arm, striking the side of the train. Robb drove into a nearby ditch and overturned.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
