Nueces County, TX : Two RTA passengers injured when car causes SUV to swerve, strike bus on Everhart near Holly in Corpus Christi on Thursday morning, February 18, 2016

A couple of passengers were hurt when the R.T.A. bus they were riding in was hit by an SUV.

Around 7am Thursday morning, witnesses say the bus on Everhart near Holly stopped to allow people to get on and off the bus. An elderly woman driving an SUV swerved to avoid hitting a car and ended up hitting the bus instead. The car that caused the SUV to swerve drove off.

Two people on the bus were taken to the hospital for back and neck pain. The elderly couple in the SUV were okay.
