AUSTIN, TX : 2 women killed, 3 people hurt in hit-and-run wreck near the intersection of Windy Hill Road and northbound Interstate 35 Frontage Road on Saturday, 27th April 2019

Hays County Sherrif's deputies have taken a suspect into custody after two teenagers were killed and three others were hurt in a hit-and-run incident Saturday night.

A Dodge pickup truck hit a Honda sedan with five people in it at about 9:20 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Windy Hill Road and northbound Interstate 35 Frontage Road.

The five people in the sedan were a family from Frisco, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. The two teenagers killed were sisters. Both girls, ages 16 and 18, were pronounced dead at the scene by Hays County Pct.2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith. They were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.
