Paragould, AR : Motorcyclist killed in crash on Highway 49 in Paragould on Thursday, Nov 19, 2015

A crash involving a motorcycle at a major intersection in Paragould ended with one man killed.

According to Arkansas State Police, Jeffery Wimberly, 42, of Paragould died following the crash that happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Highway 49 and 412 intersection.

Wimberly was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on Highway 412. Police state he turned left to get on Highway 49 when the driver of a Chevy SUV headed north on Highway 49 failed to yield.

The man's motorcycle then struck the right side of the SUV, according to the crash report.

Wimberly was taken to Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould where he later died.

ASP listed the road conditions to be clear and dry at the time of the wreck.

No other injuries were reported.
