WAYNOKA, OK : 2 injured in single-vehicle crash in Woods County on Thursday, 7th February 2019

Two people were injured Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash north of Waynoka, Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting.

The crash occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Oklahoma 14, 4 miles north of Waynoka in Woods County, according to an OHP report.

Kurtis Melton, 28, of Waynoka, was northbound in a 1994 Ford Ranger when he lost control of the vehicle on ice, according to the report. The Ford left the roadway to the east and rolled over onto its top.

Melton was not injured but both of his passengers were, the report states. Leslie Golbeck, 36, of Waynoka, was pinned for about 20 minutes before being freed by Waynoka Fire Department, according to the report. She was transported by Waynoka EMS to Share Medical Center in Alva. She was then transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., where she was admitted in stable condition with head, neck and leg injuries. Melton's other passenger, a 15-year-old female, also of Waynoka, whose name is withheld from the report, was taken to Share Medical Center, according to the report. She was treated and released.
