MIDDLETOWN, OH : Police officer hurt after crash involving 2 cruisers on Bavarian Drive near Central Avenue on Thursday, 28th February 2019

A police officer and another person were injured after an early morning crash involving two police cruisers, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The cruisers crashed just before 1 a.m. Thursday on Bavarian Drive near Central Avenue, officials said. A Middletown police officer said the incident is being considered “criminal activity.”

First responders transported both victims to a local hospital; their injuries are not life threatening.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are handling the crash investigation, while Middletown police are investigating what led up to the crash.
