ATHENS, AL : Cousin of victim killed in Athens hit-and-run calls for safety improvements to Hwy. 72 on Thursday, 14th December 2023

Erskine Jacobs, 59 was killed in a hit-and-run in Athens on December 14 at the intersection of Hwy. 72 and Hine Street.It’s a situation Jacobs’ cousin, who asked to remain anonymous, has seen far too often.

“I’m tired of losing loved ones and friends due to this situation,” he said.
