JACKSONVILLE, FL : Car crashes into telephone pole closes all lanes of New Kings Road near Gilchrist Road on Friday, 3rd May 2024

A crash early Friday morning shut down all northbound and southbound lanes of New Kings Road near Gilchrist Road as of 7:30 a.m. Friday.

A car hit a telephone pole and caused downed wires across the road. The downed wires have led to power outages for the RV park and Circle K nearby.

The car was flipped onto its side with severe damage. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said there were injuries in the crash, but the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department said no one was taken to the hospital from the scene.
