Augusta,GA : Motorcycle crash kills Aiken County man on December, Monday 18th 2017

A Windsor, S.C., man has died after his motorcycle crashed into a car Monday.

Dion Q. Dickerson, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene, Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said in a news release.

According to Carlton, Dickerson was traveling west on S.C. Highway 78 at a high rate of speed when his 2000 Honda 900 motorcycle struck a vehicle. Dickerson was attempting to pass several vehicles that had stopped to let another vehicle turn onto Cadle Crossing Road.

Dickerson hit the driver’s side of the vehicle and was ejected from his motorcycle, Carlton said. The collision happened just after 5:30 p.m.

Toxicology results are pending, and Carlton said his office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
