Manchester, N.H : 36-year-old man dead after one-vehicle crash on I-293 North in Manchester on Saturday morning, January 3, 2015

New Hampshire state police say a Manchester man has died of injuries suffered when his truck hit a concrete median barrier on Interstate 293 north in Manchester.

The accident occurred at about 11:30 Saturday morning.

Police say 36-year-old Matthew Allard of Manchester lost control of his pick-up truck and first drove along the right shoulder before swerving across both lanes of traffic and striking the barrier.

Authorities say Allard was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at Elliot Hospital Saturday. They say speed does not appear to have been a factor but investigators are still trying to determine whether drugs, alcohol or distracted driving played a role.
