Norman, OK : Wife of Oklahoma icon Jim Ross dies following scooter crash on Monday, March 20th 2017

According to famed WWE commentator and Oklahoma icon Jim Ross, his wife, Jan, died from injuries sustained during a crash that occurred earlier this week.

According to the Norman Police Department, at about 9:30 p.m. Monday night, Jan Ross, of Norman, was driving her Vespa scooter down 36th Avenue SW in the inside lane when it was struck from behind by a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis which was also traveling in the inside lane. Both vehicles came to a stop just north of Riverwalk Drive and caught fire.

At impact, the 55-year-old woman was thrown from the scooter. She was transported from the scene by EMSStat to OU Medical Center where she was listed in serious condition. She was not wearing helmet at the time of the collision.

After the crash, Jim Ross took to social media to share the news.
