LICKING COUNTY, OH : 16-year-old girl killed in on Licking Valley Road (County Road 668) north of Grove Road crash on Thursday, 3rd January 2019

A 16-year-old girl was killed in a single vehicle crash in Perry Township in Licking County Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 4:12pm on Licking Valley Road (County Road 668) north of Grove Road.

According to the Granville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Emma M. Cunningham lost control of her 2002 Honda Civic. The vehicle slid off the road, struck a ditch, overturned and struck two utility poles.

Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say Cunningham was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.

The crash remains under investigation.
