Las Vegas, NV : Bicyclist critically injured in crash with a semitractor-trailer on freeway ramp on Friday, March 11, 2016

A bicyclist suffered critical injuries in a crash with a semitractor-trailer on an Interstate 15 on-ramp at Cheyenne Avenue, according to the the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Medics responded about 12:30 p.m. to the crash, Trooper Jason Buratczuk said. The truck was turning onto the freeway when the bicyclist crashed into it, he said.

The bicyclist, described only as a male, was rushed to University Medical Center in critical condition, Buratczuk said.

The ramp was closed for about two hours.
