A crash Christmas night left four people injured when two vehicles collided on U.S. Hwy. 14 east of Rochester.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a car driven by Tracy Tieman, 25, of Rochester, was attempted a left turn off the highway when it collided with a westbound van driven by Elliot Mainz, 21, also of Rochester.

The report describes the crash, which was reported at 7:35 p.m. Thursday at milepost 218, as head-on.

Both Tieman and Mainz were taken to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. Tieman was listed in good condition this morning; Mainz was seen and dismissed, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Two other passengers in the van, Erick Mainz, 24, of Rochester, and Rachel Kane, 23, of Cannon Falls, weren't injured.

Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt, the report says, and alcohol was not a factor.
