Empire man killed in motorcycle wreck

Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that killed an Empire man. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office says 34-year-old John Taylor Walker died late Saturday when he apparently struck a beam blocking the entrance to a bridge on a closed portion of Birmingham-Jasper Road near Graysville.
