A crash on Route 95 south Friday night resulted in the death of one person on the scene and another being taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries, according to the Rhode Island State Police.
The state police and Department of Transportation are investigating the crash, which took place just south of Exit 5, near a weigh station, at around 8:40 p.m., a spokeswoman for the state police said.
