WAYLAND, MO : Niota man seriously injured in two-vehicle crash in Clark County on Thursday, 27th September 2018

A Niota, Ill., man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:40 p.m. Thursday in Clark County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Kenneth W. Reichert, 61, of North Liberty, Iowa, was heading north on U.S. 61, about four miles south of Wayland, when his vehicle failed to yield and struck the rear of a northbound 1996 Broce RE300 Broom Sweeper driven by Greg Harl, 52, of Niota.

Harl was ejected from his vehicle. He was taken by Clark County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., for treatment of serious injuries.

Assisting at the scene were the Clark County Sheriff's Department, the Wayland Fire Department and Clark County first responders.
