Manhattan ,NY : 16- Years old Amelia Sterentalkilled by taxi while walking in crosswalk on NYC's Upper East Side on Saturday afternoon ,May 9th 2015

New York City police say a 76-year-old has been struck and killed by a yellow cab near Madison Avenue in Manhattan.

Police say Amelia Sterental of Miami was walking in a crosswalk north on East 60th Street on the Upper East Side when she was struck Saturday afternoon. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say the taxi driver remained on scene.

The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is on site. No charges have been filed.
