Rutland, VT : Truck burns after crash into tree on Route 4 on Saturday, February 20, 2016
Vermont State Police said a man crashed into a tree and fled the scene, leaving the car to burn on a Rutland Town front lawn.
Police said they received a call around 2:30 a.m. Saturday for the report of a one-car crash on Route 4. Later reports described the car as fully engulfed by flames.
Vermont State Police from the Rutland barracks arrived on the scene and found the vehicle, a 2005 Ford F-350, crashed into a tree. The Rutland Town Fire Department extinguished the flames but the Ford’s driver was gone and no passengers could be located.
Police said an investigation indicated Kyle Fiedorczyk, 21, of Walcott, Conn., was the driver. He was issued a civil violation complaint.
Fiedorczyk’s Ford was destroyed and was removed from the scene, police said.
