Story City, IA: Crash blocks I-35 southbound near Story City on Friday, July 24th 2015

A crash north of Interstate 35 exit 128 near Randall has stalled southbound traffic.Randall is located about 10 miles north of Story City.The incident occured sometime before 5 p.m. Friday between exit 128, County Road D65, and exit 124, County Road E15, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.A detour for southbound traffic has been put in place to reroute drivers off the interstate. Drivers will take exit 133 to IA 175 to Ubben Avenue and reenter the interstate on exit 128, County Road D65.According to dispatchers the Randall Fire Department was requesting assistance from the Ellsworth Fire Department.Sgt. Nathan Ludwig with the Iowa State Patrol at about 5:10 p.m. said the only update he had was that a truck was on fire. No word on injuries yet, he said.
