SPRINGVILLE, IA : Central City man airlifted after motorcycle crash on Wednesday, 28th August 2024

A Central City man was airlifted to Iowa City with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a deer Wednesday night in rural Linn County.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office reports Daniel Nash, 46, was riding north on Whittier Rd. near Prairie Chapel Rd. around 8:15 p.m. when he apparently hit a deer.

Officials say Nash was not wearing a helmet at the time. So far Thursday morning, there is no update yet on his condition.
