Albany,OR : Teen injured in Lebanon car, pedestrian crash on February, Wednesday 7th 2018
A 15-year-old girl was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis early Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Tangent and 5th streets.
Lebanon police and fire personnel responded to the scene and found the girl laying in the bicycle lane with injuries. She had been on foot at the time of the accident.
According to Lebanon Police, the driver of the vehicle was John Pitts, 65, of Waterloo. Officers said he remained on the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
A department spokesman said the investigation is ongoing but at this time, no alcohol, drugs or excessive speed appear to be factors in the accident.
The extent of the victim’s injuries were not known.
