Cincinnati ,OH :SB I-75 reopens after semi crash at Lockland Split on Wednesday morning ,September 9th 2015
Traffic remains congested, but southbound Interstate 75 has completely reopened after an earlier multi-car crash in which a semi-truck overturned and spilled asphalt.
The accident resulted in one person being taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment, officials said. The condition of the victim is unknown.
Earlier, all lanes of southbound I-75 were closed at the Lockland Split after the crash occurred just north of Galbraith Road at approximately 10 a.m.
The truck's payload appeared spilled in the roadway. Officials also reported a large amount of fuel in the roadway as a result of the crash.
The road was completely closed for about two hours. Emergency officials were still at the crash site at 1:30 p.m., cleaning off asphalt and reopening the highway a lane at a time.
At this time, the cause of the accident is unclear. No further details are available.
