Shawano County, WI : Two people dead after a one-vehicle crash in Wausau on Monday May 9th, 2016

Two people are dead after a one-vehicle crash that took place about 65 miles east of Wausau Monday evening.
A 36-year-old Oconto man was driving north on Shawano County H, near Old Lake Lane, Wescott, at 8:52 p.m. Monday, when he lost control of his vehicle, according to the Sheriff's Department. The vehicle entered the ditch and hit several trees.
The 36-year-old driver and his 22-year-old passenger from Bonduel, both died from injuries they sustained during the crash, according to a news release.
The crash remains under investigation. No names were released Tuesday morning.
