Pittsburgh, PA : Child injured in Interstate 70 crash on Wednesday morning, June 15, 2016
A 3-year-old child was injured and flown by medical helicopter for treatment following an accident on Interstate 70 Wednesday morning.
According to a Westmoreland County emergency dispatcher, the accident involving a tractor-trailer and a small car, happened just before the Madison exit at 2:50 a.m. No other injuries were reported, the dispatcher said.
The child was taken to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The dispatcher said the child's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Herminie, Yukon and New Stanton fire departments responded to the accident which caused brief traffic delays.
