Sterling Heights ,MI : Two 19-year-olds who died after car crashed while fleeing officers on Sunday. July 19th 2015

Police have released the names of two 19-year-old men from Detroit's northern suburbs who were killed when their car crashed as they sped away from an attempted police traffic stop.

Troy police say their officers saw the car being driven recklessly and tried to stop it, but it took off. They say the officers broke off their chase when the car left the city early Sunday.

The Oakland Press of Pontiac (http://bit.ly/1LnUhOb ) says that David Kezy of Troy was driving and Chaz Gracey of Sterling Heights was a passenger in the car that hit a utility pole in in neighboring Sterling Heights. Authorities say the damage to power lines blacked out 2,800 homes and businesses.

Troy police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
