Authorities say two teenagers were killed and three injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident in Central Texas.

Department of Public Safety officials say the five teenagers were traveling in a pickup truck early Saturday morning that veered off the road and rolled down a steep embankment near Elgin, about 25 miles east of Austin.

The Austin American-Statesman reports 17-year-old Ashley Farrell died at the scene and 15-year-old William Sumner later died at University Medical Center Brackenridge. Another passenger was listed in serious condition at the hospital. The truck's 16-year-old driver and another passenger were listed as in stable condition.

Troopers say two passengers in the back seat of the truck were thrown from the vehicle at the time of the crash.
