CHICAGO, IL : 1 critically injured in O'Hare shuttle bus crash at Terminal 5 on Friday, 1st September 2023

The driver of a a shuttle bus that crashed at O'Hare Airport Friday morning has died, the Cook County coroner confirmed.

The crash occurred on a ramp to Terminal 5 at the airport at about 2:30 a.m. The bus appeared to crash into a median, with the bus having heavy damage to its front.

CFD responded to the scene and found the driver, who was ejected from the crash. He was transported to Lutheran General Hospital in critical condition, CFD said. He later died.

While the Cook County coroner confirmed the death, no cause of death has been announced and the driver has not been identified.
