BRIDGEPORT, CT : No serious injuries in downtown Bridgeport collision on Wednesday, 11th March, 2020
Downtown traffic saw some slowdowns around peak nighttime rush hour Wednesday after a two-car collision.
Around 4:40 p.m., fire units were dispatched for what was reported to be a crash with possible entrapment at the intersection of Broad and State streets — near the Margaret E. Morton Government Center.
On scene, the two occupants of the vehicles did not show any apparent serious injuries but were checked out by medics.
Police responded to help firefighters shut down State Street traffic at its intersection with Broad Street.
Airbags deployed in one of the cars, which showed damage to its left side. The other car showed front-end damage.
