Honokaa, HI : A 33-year-old Honolulu man was criticaly injured in a wrong-way crash at Kakaako On Tuesday May 10th, 2016

A 33-year-old Honolulu man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he apparently rode his moped in the wrong direction on South King Street near Straub Clinic and Hospital and collided with a car early this morning.

Police said the accident occurred at 1:43 a.m. near Kealamakai Street. Both drivers were intoxicated, police said.

However, only the driver of the car, a 32-year-old man from Mililani, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Charges are pending against the the 33-year-old moped rider.
