JACKSON, MS : One person died after an 18-wheeler and motorcycle collided on Medgar Evers Blvd on May, Tuesday, 16th 2017

One person died after an 18-wheeler and motorcycle collided on Medgar Evers Blvd. and Boling Street around 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

The Hinds County Coroner has identified the victim as 41-year-old Dewayne Miller.The wreck happened just north of I-220 on Highway 49 at the Exxon/Shell station. The motorcycle was completely destroyed and police were re-routing traffic on to Boling Street.

Both northbound and southbound lanes were closed while Jackson police worked to clear the area.
