Tulsa, OK : Police identify driver killed in north Tulsa crash on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016
A Broken Arrow woman was killed after the car she was driving crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a pickup truck head-on Saturday afternoon, police said.
Police identified the woman as Temica Bates, 40.The collision occurred about 4:45 p.m. in the area of 100 N. Peoria Ave., where witnesses said Bates was driving a southbound 1998 Lincoln Town Car erratically, Tulsa Police Cpl. Greg Smith said in a news release.
She reportedly crossed the center line and hit a northbound 2007 Chevrolet pickup, which was hauling a utility trailer, Smith said.
Both the woman and the truck’s driver, a 40-year-old man, were taken by ambulance to St. John Medical Center. Bates was pronounced dead at the hospital, Smith said.
The other driver’s condition was listed as stable.
