Marshall, MO : Vehicle overturns in I-70 crash on February, Monday 5th 2018
Winter weather was most likely the cause of an Interstate 70 crash involving a Kansas City man Monday, Jan. 5.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Toyota — driven by Milton Meza, 40, of Kansas City — began sliding in the eastbound lanes before it traveled off the road and struck a guardrail. Meza’s vehicle overturned and returned back onto the westbound roadway, according to the report, before it came to rest on its side.
While the vehicle was totaled, Meza sustained minor injuries. He was transported to a hospital by ambulance for treatment.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. near the 65.6-mile marker.
