Aynor , SC :One killed after trucks collide on U.S. 501 near Aynor on Thursday , June 25th 2015

One person was killed in a two-car crash on U.S. 501 near Aynor on Thursday afternoon.Lawrence Lyons, 79, of Aynor died from blunt forced trauma, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.The wreck happened just after 3 p.m. on U.S. 501 before the intersection with S.C. 22 near White Oak Lane, according to Cpl. Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.The crash happened when a 2005 GMC pickup truck pulled out of White Oak Lane onto U.S. 501 in front of a 2000 International Truck traveling south, Collins said.Collins said the two cars collided and Lyons, the driver of the GMC truck, was killed.Lyons was pronounced dead at 4:01 p.m. at Conway Medical Center, Fowler said.No charges are expected to be filed in this case, Collins said.
