Filer, ID : Woman dies after collision with semi truck on U.S. 30 near Filer on Saturday night, July 30, 2016

A Filer woman was killed Saturday night during a crash on U.S. 30 near Filer.

According to the Idaho State Police, Brittany Bewley, 25, of Filer was driving a 2003 Dodge Neon at about 11:40 p.m. when the car ran into the back of a semi truck at milepost 214. The driver of the semi, Joe Wilcox, 57, of Antlers, Okla., was pulling out of a driveway onto the highway at the time of the crash.

The eastbound and westbound lanes of travel on U.S. 30 were blocked for approximately three hours while emergency crews responded. Bewley was not wearing a seat belt, ISP said.
