SEQUOYAH COUNTY, OK : Kangaroo hit and killed in Sequoyah County crash on Wednesday, 13th March 2024

A kangaroo was hit and killed in Sequoyah County in the early morning of Wednesday, March 13, according to the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office (SCSO).

According to SCSO, Deputy Jeff Neighbors was patrolling the Liberty area north of Roland when the crash happened.

SCSO said the deputy "saw a kangaroo jump out of the woods and onto the highway," and got hit by a vehicle.
