Anderson, SC : A motorcyclist died and his wife was injured after crash at Highway 24 near Interstate 85 On Sunday, 16th October, 2016

A motorcyclist died and his wife was injured Sunday afternoon in a crash, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Highway 24 near Interstate 85.

Troopers said a car turned in front of the motorcycle, and while trying to avoid the car the motorcycle went down and ejected the driver and passenger.

The motorcyclist, Kenneth Lusk from Hodges, died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.

Lusk's wife, Melissa, was the passenger on the motorcycle. She was injured and taken to AnMed, troopers said. There is no update on her condition.

Troopers said the driver of the car was also injured and taken to AnMed.
